In 2022, my husband and I moved to Turkey and lived there for six months. We built our everyday life from scratch and, naturally, explored the country not as tourists, but as locals. We don’t choose all-inclusive resorts. We prefer renting an apartment or finding a cozy place to stay, getting a car, and setting off to explore Turkey. We visit well-known tourist destinations, but we also love discovering small towns, less touristy locations, hidden beaches, local restaurants, scenic roads, and places you won’t always find in a typical travel guide. I love discovering Turkey slowly and from different sides — its nature, food, neighborhoods, local spots, and everyday life beyond the usual tourist routes. I’m constantly looking for beautiful and genuinely interesting places and sharing the ones I would personally recommend. Turkey has become such a big part of my life that I’m now learning Turkish too. I keep coming back, exploring new regions, and finding more reasons to fall in love with this country. My goal is to show Turkey the way I experience it myself — through real places, personal recommendations, and discoveries that are truly worth adding to your own map.
